Show #3 (Vanessa — two years at home)
Hello. Today is a special day for my family, and in consequence I decided to make a special show marking the occasion. Exactly two years ago my daughter Vanessa moved permanently to our home. These songs are dedicated to her.
The first song is from a portuguese All stars band, Humanos, which is a kind of tribute band to António Variações, one of the most influential musicians of Portuguese modern music. This is a nice song and its title, Muda de Vida, means litterally Change your life, which was what our daughter did when she chose to come live with us.
The second song, from the same band, is a parody with her name and made her furious for some time whenever she heard it play on the radio or the tv. Now she even enjoys listening to it, which just shows how much she changed since then.
Next is a song from a Brazilian artist, Adriana Calcanhoto, in her child’s song player incarnation as Adriana Partimpim, and is the favourite song of my daughter. Fico Assim Sem Você is a nice romantic song, with simple lyrics and a catchy tune:
Finally, an animation of the well known Ben E. King’s Stand by Me. Watching animation films is my daughter’s favourite activity, and that is the reason I find this clip to be the perfect ending for the show. Next week I will be on Christmas vacation, but I hope having the time (and Internet connection) to assemble and publish show #4. Until then, have a nice week!
